I can't imagine the bittersweet emotions you must feel when looking at pictures like this...but I'm glad that God gave you those precious 7 hours with your son.
P.S. My husband glanced over and saw a picture of Dylan, and said "Aw, what a cutie". It must be true, because my husband doesn't often say that about other people's babies!
I'm praying for you everyday. I can't imagine how hard it is everyday for you. Just continue to keep your mind and heart on God and he will bring you through this. You look beautiful in the picture.
Come on.....don't leave us hanging!!! I, too, have experienced the death of a child. Yes, it was one of the most difficult times of my life. But I chose life with all its bumps, joys, sadness, surprises & successes & failures. Grab your faith, grab your husband & start living. By living you will not dishonor Dylan. Instead, you will raise him up. Keep him as part of your lives but remember you are just starting on the long road of married life. Make it a road filled with shared experiences, a road that requires a couple to navigate it, a couple to pull together & work for the future. By grabbing your faith you will know, without a doubt, that Dylan is waiting for you, healthy, happy & enjoying his time with Jesus. Take the time you have here & now to build each other up. Give your grief over to the Lord. He will always provide for you.
I'm a daughter, a wife, and a mommy to a baby boy that was born on December 28, 2008 and passed away 7 hours later. We found out back in August of 2008 that Dylan had Trisomy 18. This is my story of the ups and downs of carrying him to term. And surviving the days, weeks, and months after.
